About Kothi Decor

Handcrafted Home, Kitchen & Dining Decor Inspired by Old Indian Homes

There was a certain kind of home many of us grew up visiting. A little grand, a little imperfect. Big wooden doors that creaked at the hinges. Cool stone floors underfoot. Brass that slowly gathered a patina from years of hands touching it. A swing on the veranda that never quite stopped moving. Cups that had clearly been around longer than we had.

We called it the kothi.

Nothing in that house was bought to match a room. Things were simply used, loved, repaired, passed around, and passed down — from one generation's kitchen shelf to the next.

Kothi Decor was born from a longing for that feeling.

We create handcrafted home decor, kitchen and dining products inspired by the objects, memories, and traditional Indian craftsmanship of those homes — brass lotas, hand-painted ceramics, cane and wood furnishings, and small nostalgic details — reimagined for the way we actually live today.

A little brass. A little wood. A little handmade imperfection. A cup that feels like it has always belonged in your kitchen.

What We Stand For

Nostalgia — Remember the Kothi
Our designs draw from the little things we remember: old windows, courtyard evenings, hand-painted illustrations, and the quiet details of an Indian household that time hasn't erased from memory.

Ancestral Craft — Made from Tradition
Every piece we make uses traditional Indian materials and artisan techniques — hand casting, wax mould work, hand carving, and hand finishing — carried forward by skilled craftspeople across India, not mass-produced on a factory line.

Honesty — Know What You're Bringing Home
We believe you should know exactly what you're bringing into your home. That's why every product page is transparent about the inner material, outer finish, making style, and state of origin — no vague descriptions, no hiding behind pretty photography.

Handmade, Not Perfect — And That's the Point

Because our products are hand cast, hand carved, or hand painted, no two pieces are ever identical. A slightly different brush stroke here, a small variation in polish there — these aren't flaws. They're proof that a real person's hands shaped what you're holding.

Made for Today. Meant to Become Tomorrow's Old Things.

We don't design decor to trend for a season. We design brass diyas, ceramic dinnerware, wooden furnishings, and traditional home accents meant to be used daily, aged gracefully, and eventually passed down — the same way the objects in our own kothis were.

Because in the end, we don't just want you to like the things you buy from us.

We want you to know them. And one day, we hope they become part of your own family's story.
